On January 20, 2010, Scott Stegenga reluctantly stepped down as President of the Local. Mike Scanlon was appointed President, Al Wynsma Vice-President. Scott was appointed as Member-at-Large for the Executive Board. Thanks to Scott for all his hard work and dedication these past 9 years.

The Parade of Lights is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, and begins at 7:00 p.m., with a service for firefighters and the public at Thorncreek Reformed Church, 1875 E. 170th Street. (more info).

On March 6, 2010, members of L-4109 will shave their heads to help support children's cancer research. The shaving will take place at the Thornton American Legion. In addition, coordinater Tom Farr is hosting a poker run on May 22, 2010 to raise additional funds. The poker run will start and stop at the White Rhino Inn in Dyer, Indiana. Golf Outing *updated
Our annual golf outing will be held on August 4, 2010 tentatively at Lincoln Oaks Golf Course in Crete, Illinois. Additional information is available on our golf outing page.
